McCreanor & Company Architects is a multi-award winning architectural and consulting practice with an impressive track record spanning 28 years. The practice was established in 1992 by Paul McCreanor and currently employs nine full-time staff. We can help you through all stages of the construction process with in-house expertise in Design, Planning and Building Control Legislation, Health & Safety, Conservation and Contract Law and Management, Project Management & Planning.

Paul received his Chartered Architect Qualification from QUB Belfast in 1991, establishing his own practice in 1992. Since 1991 Paul has been involved in a broad portfolio of projects as Lead Design Architect, Client Advisor and Contract Administrator. His portfolio of projects included Residential, Medical, Industrial, Commercial, Community and Leisure facilities. These projects range in value from £ 1M to £ 30M.

The comprehensive services Paul has offered his clients over the past 30 years within his role as a Chartered Architect incorporated advice on Land Acquisition, Planning Applications, Detailed Design for Building Control and the supervision and management of the build process to ensure compliance  through to completion. This incorporated the administration of the Building Contract via various JCT and other bespoke contracts.

PRACTICE MANAGER

PAULINE

Pauline previously worked at the Department of Inland revenue before becoming office manager of in 2001.She has organised and directed the day to day activities of McCreanor and Company Architects ever since. Her dedication to the business has helped us maintain excellence as we strive to grow and improve our services.

SENIOR ARCHITECT

RIBA CONSERVATION ARCHITECT

SIMON

Simon is one of very few registered Conservation Architects in the UK. A conservation architect has in-depth knowledge and experience of working with historic buildings. He has a keen interest in the historic environment and obtained the RSUA Diploma in Conservation in 2012. Simon also has 10 years experience working in the Historic Environment Division caring for Listed buildings. Whilst there, he gained invaluable knowledge into the Department’s grant scheme, listing process, and enforcement activities as well as their assessment of applications for works to Listed buildings and within their setting. He has worked on a number of heritage assets within Conservation Areas where he has liaised with the Council to avail of the maximum possible grant assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund through the Townscape Heritage Initiative.

ARCHITECT

RIBA CONSERVATION REGISTRANT

TONY

Tony joined McCreanor and Company Architects in 2015. He has worked on several high profile residential and commercial projects. As well as being a very talented designer, he has gained significant experience in the planning appeals process and adjudication procedures. Tony’s work in these areas has guided our clients successfully, through some of the most difficult aspects of construction. His diligent records and insights are invaluable qualities for any Architect.

PAUL JNR

Graduating from his master’s in architecture in 2016 and becoming a fully qualified Architect in 2019, Paul has been involved in some of the practices more adventurous schemes. With a keen eye for an alternative design approach, Paul pushes the boat within the realms of possibility creating abstract designs generally in the style of regionalism. Paul was instrumental in introducing the practices VR capabilities and is constantly improving its practicality, increasing function and usefulness.

CERTIFIED PASSIVE HOUSE DESIGNER

JEFFREY

Jeffrey joined McCreanor & Co Architects in 2014, later becoming an Architect in 2018. He has since been involved in numerous residential and commercial projects most recently a Private Dwelling for a couple in County Armagh & Wonderworld Day Care. Jeffrey's experience of running schemes, working closely with clients, and leading the design team has resulted in the successful delivery of many projects from concept through to completion. Over the past year, Jeffrey has developed the companies Public Procurement Sector, striving to diversify McCreanor & Co's Portfolio.

BEN

Ben joined McCreanor and Company Architects in 2015 and qualified as an Architect in 2022 . He is experienced in all stages of the design and construction process. Ben works closely with new private clients, currently delivering extension and renovation projects for residential and commercial properties throughout Northern Ireland.
